After months of acoustic abstinence, the Acoustic Showcase will return to the Big Canoe Chapel Terraces at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 6.
Prior showcases in September and October were limited by Covid restrictions to reservations only, with limited tickets available. Unfortunately, many people who wished to attend had to be turned away because of the limitations mandated by the vicious virus. Long waiting lists were frustrating for performers and audience alike. Now that restrictions on groups have been lifted, everyone who wishes to attend will be able to do so.
Acoustic Showcase has grown from a small jam session of a few folks to one of the most popular events in Big Canoe. As usual, musical entertainment will include every genre imaginable, from folk to classic rock to contemporary to country to bluegrass—you get the idea, it’s a musical smorgasbord.
For this showcase, social distancing of three feet will be mandatory, but reservations will not be required. For newcomers, this outdoor venue is located on Steve Tate Road just north of the Main Gate. Bring your own chairs or sit on the amphitheater seats. Seating will be allowed in the “dance” area as well.
No food or beverage other than water is allowed in the seating area; however, BYO food and beverages are allowed in the parking area and under the trees above the amphitheater seating area.
We look forward to another exciting evening of fun and great music. Our Big Canoe musicians are chomping at the bit to entertain our fantastic followers again. See you there!
