It’s a great time to take a break from all the news; chill with Inside the Gates Radio

Greetings to all from your Big Canoe Community Radio Station: Inside the Gates Radio.  There is no question that our lives have been interrupted by current events.  The all-volunteer team at Inside the Gates Radio wants to remind everyone that we offer outstanding entertainment, 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we are committed to keep it available now more than ever.

We stream the greatest music of our lifetimes. We've put together a most eclectic mix of music that simply can’t be found in this format anywhere else.  Where else can one go from The Rolling Stones to Louis Armstrong, from Crosby, Stills & Nash to the Zac Brown Band, from Aretha Franklin to Credence Clearwater Revival?  You never know what's coming next, but you can count on it being excellent.

Inside the Gates Radio has been on the air for just about 18 months now and the feedback we get is tremendous.  Not only are more folks in the Big Canoe community listening, but we have faithful fans from all compass points in the U.S.  Our steaming partner is located in Birmingham, England and has gone to great lengths to assure us that they are prepared to keep all of their radio partners continually running, despite the current worldwide concerns.  As long as there is internet, Inside the Gates Radio will be ready and waiting for everyone.

Our live show lineup this week is:

  • Saturday, March 21 beginning at 6:30 p.m., Dinnis Keefe's Saturday Night Soiree kicks off the program. An incredibly experienced DJ for years, you will truly enjoy his selected music and commentary.
  • Sunday, March 22 beginning at 4:30 p.m., Shiraz Alikhan's, San Francisco Nights Show opens our Sunday shows. You are invited to share the great music from the Bay Area from back in the 60s and 70s with a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
  • Craig Looney's, Looney's Tunes is up immediately following Alikhan on Sunday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m. Join him for some of the best of the best from the Inside the Gates library along with little known facts and history about the artists and the songs.

Please go to our website to find out more on how to connect to our station.  On the home page the “player” link takes you right to the music and the “FAQ” link gives precise instructions on how to download our free apps for both Apple and Android devices.  And should you have an Alexa system, there are also instructions on how to play the station through Alexa.

If you have any questions or comments or simply need some assistance connecting, send us an email at ITGRadio@bigcanoepoa.org.

Join us often. We will be there for you when you require some home entertainment in the coming weeks and months.  Let the music guide you through these unprecedented times.
