Trying to understand aspects of nutrition on a daily basis can be overwhelming due to the plethora of articles and claims and recommendations that often contradict others or the same recommendations at a later time. Rather than reaching a conclusion that “eating is hazardous to your health”, all of us, but particularly the elderly should adopt a simple, easy to remember set of guidelines to assist us in our daily lives. It is hoped that "Healthy Handy Tips," the article (below) with the accompanying figures will achieve that goal.
