Henry County plans to reopen next week three senior centers that have been closed for months because of COVID-19.

Bear Creek, Hidden Valley and Locust Grove senior centers will open to the public on Monday, the county has said. Citizens will be required to submit to temperature checks to enter facilities and to follow social distancing guidelines as they move about.

Face coverings also will be required and must stay in place unless a visitor is participating in a fitness activity, the county said.

While the buildings are reopening, their cafeterias will not. The food operations will resume in September, leaders said, but drivethrough lunches are being provided at the facility.

Equipment sharing will be limited and water fountains and shared coolers are prohibited. Restrooms will be open with enhanced cleaning and sanitation.

The facilities will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
