Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville is making the most of its social media outlets by hosting events on Facebook and a YouTube channel.

The popular Art for Lunch series continues in March. On the 3rd at 12:15 p.m., Dr. Sam Gerace will be on the museum’s Facebook page speaking about the Booth’s newest exhibition, “Vaquero Legacies & Diverse Descendants.” Gerace will discuss diversity in the West from the late 1600s through the present, as seen through images tracing the legacies left behind by the first cowboys to come to the Americas.

March 17 at 12:15 p.m., there will be a live demonstration featuring artist Siva Nyayapathi, also on Booth’s Facebook page. Nyayapathi is an Associate Living Master recognized by the Art Renewal Center and is a signature member of the Oil Painters of America. Nyayapathi received both the Maitri and Vamsi awards for excellence in art.

There is a virtual exhibit opening and gallery walk scheduled for March 25 at 7 p.m. Executive Director Seth Hopkins and curators Lisa Wheeler and Dr. Sam Gerace will showcase the newest paintings, sculptures, photographs and objects recently added to the permanent collection. This event will be featured on the YouTube channel and Facebook page.

The Booth Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday; guests are required to purchase tickets in advance. Entry times are available every 30 minutes. Visit for tickets and event information.
